I know i am still harping on this, but I really can not believe how different I feel since attending Druid City. I WANT to practice and DO practice every day…in fact, I one of the coaches, Dr. Richard Masters from University of Texas-Austin, a very efficient and easy way to practice. I feel so silly for not doing this before. I am in love with singing again..I am in love with music again.

I am back from my first ever summer program! I had can not believe how much I can change in just 9 days. I went in a scared, unsure mezzo turned soprano and came out a confident Lyric soprano. A PROUD lyric soprano. I learned to fight (stage wise), I learned to act, I learned that I am a talented singing actress. In fact, I was told many times how I come alive on stage and I was a joy to watch. It is so reassuring to know I AM in the right calling. I can not even not put into words the power that this workshop gave me. I am ready, I wanted by University of Alabama for DMA, and I have a wonderful support system.
I have a new mantra as well, “Strive for Excellence, NOT Perfection”. The bar for excellence is always rising, as perfection is unattainable. Dear friends, ALWAYS strive for excellence and be happy at where you are.
